Just when you thought it was safe....

So at last Saturdays weigh in, I had a loss and reached an all-time low. That was three weeks in a row of losses (two of them rather small, but they were losses). I was hopeful but not ready to declare the plateau over. (Oh, and I know there are some people who think plateaus aren't real, and its just a question of compliance. Yeah. Right. But I'll leave that conversation for another day and another audience.)
Two weeks ago I added another spin class to my workout schedule. I worked out a lot this week (51APs for you Weight Watchers). I was hopeful. I want so badly for that scale to start moving again.

I went to weigh in this morning. It moved. A big move. The wrong way. W. T. F?

I am hanging on by a thread and its fraying.

But I am going to keep working hard. I have to. And I want to. I just need something to go right.

  1. Hang in there. Don't forget to take measurements, particularly when you work out hard. You can retain water from heavy duty workouts and that can last for a few weeks.

  2. Have you thought about having a body composition test done? Not the kind a personal trainer does but one done at a medical office like the BODPOD or an impedence test. I did this years ago and learned that I was carrying over 230 lbs of bone, muscle, and water. Frustrating that I'll probably never go below 200 unless I rid myself of alot of muscle, but at least I know that the "end" is going to be higher and it puts a different perspective on the whole thing. Just a thought.

  4. Is your body still changing? That's is so weird and annoying. I'm sorry honey. But, you are still doing good things for your heart and arteries. Just keep up the good work, and do what Lori and krazy88 suggested. I'm with fatty McButter Pants...51 APs is killer!!!

  5. Sometimes, if you don't focus or stress too much on things, if they let ok and continue what they're doing it will happen. Try not to stress too much. Easy said I know.

  6. Okay I've been doing the same thing, working my tukus off and seeing a gain. What I was told is that exercising may cause a gain, and overexercising will DEFINITELY cause a gain! 51 AP seems like a lot!

Just figure out your balance, maybe 51 AP is perfect? Good luck!

Loss, loss, loss, GAIN. I've been doing everything the same. Have you changed anything aside from food/exercise?
