A new milestone, and new pictures!

As of last Saturday's weigh in, I officially reached 100lbs lost. (Actually the total is 101.2, but who's counting?!!) I am now a member of the Century Club! So how do I feel having reached this milestone? I feel SO much better! Im happy, I'm moving easier, I'm more confident. I'm posting this a progress picture, but it's the same story as the last time...I still don't see a huge difference. Of course the starting picture wasn't full length, either.

I'm also sharing pictures, with their permission, of course, of me with two people who have been such inspiration to me on this journey.

The picture below is me with my Weight Watchers meeting leader, Pam. Nothing is ever boring or dull in Pam's meetings. Her energy brings each topic to life, but with practical tools for putting the theories into practice. I always look forward to her meetings, she makes it fun!

And this picture is me with my personal trainer, Mari. Now it says something about the confidence I've gained that not only would I willingly have my picture taken, but to have it taken standing next to a 98lb soaking wet (if that) hard body who also happens to be gorgeous!
Mari is more than my trainer, she's my friend. I only have about a month left to work with her. While I will probably work with another trainer, there will never be another Mari!

  2. You're looking great! That is a wonderful achievement. You are an inspiration to others of us in Central TX that determination and perseverance, along with lots of self-talk, do make a difference. As I've just started this journey, I now know it can be done. Congratulations!! d

  7. I found your blog by typing in to google "how did I get so fat?". I am so thrilled to have found your lovely blog in all it's honesty and fearlessness. Your weight loss is inspiring enough but what really moves me is how you are facing your fears. I'm going to be 40 this year and while I have about 20 extra pounds on me right now, what I really want to do it face my fears. Fears of failure, rejection and ANGER from others. I've already made some intense progress but I will keep checking in with you when I need inspiration. You are a beacon! (ps. as someone who has struggled with binge eating a body issues most of my life, I know it's hard not to see your same old body in pictures. Our brain has that filter on it...but to this stranger you are looking fitter and more importantly HAPPY!)

I hope once I shed this last 60 lbs that I'll have such a drastic difference.

The first thing that stands out on the after shot is your smile. You're absolutely radiant.

    Congratulations to you!!

  10. I googled "gym anxiety" to try to find some self help and your page came up. I'm in the same boat as your. Hearing someone else go through the same issues makes a person realise that we are not alone in certain battles. I saw your after 100lbs off picture. Good for you. You must feel soooooooo much better. I can't wait to drop 100lbs. Keep it up girl. You have people on the outside that you don't even know rooting for you. You have inspired me!
