Thank You!

I just wanted to post a quickie to all those who've left comments or dropped me an email. It's sometimes a little scary putting some of this stuff that's in my head out there, knowing that people are actually reading it. (I truly started this blog more as a journal for myself, but figured I'd be brave and make it public.) Your comments and emails TRULY inspire me. For those who've said I inspire them, I have to be honest. That absolutely floors me. If you knew me in person you'd think I was a giant goofball, anything but inspiring. (And those who do know me can tell you, I AM a giant goofball!) I don't think of myself as inspiring in any way, shape or form. Just a person on a mission to get healthy, who happens to be doing it in a noticeable way. (A double edged sword sometimes, I can assure you.)

So again, thank you for all your support! You all ROCK!

  1. I found your blog about a month ago and have visited once a week or so since.
Honestly, you have said all the things I have felt and lived in my 40+ years.
A little over two years ago, I started my own journey to a healthier life (it wasn't about getting the perfect boyfriend anymore....for once!!) and to date, I've lost 110 lbs. Yup, struggled with weight and body issues and confidence issues my whole life.
I picked up and moved from a dead-end job and now have a dream job in a new city. I, too, feel like a butterfly who has emerged from a cocoon.
I'm 15 lbs. from that magical goal weight number of WW, but whether I get there or not, I now work out, eat (and shop) correctly, live my life for me and generally like myself --- probably for the first time in my life!!
Congrats on all the life changes you've made!
You may say you are floored by comments like "you inspire me" --- trust me, I know exactly how you feel - but with time (and hearing them enough) -- I can step back and say "dang, I did this really amazing thing for ME!!" and now I want to celebrate it and celebrate me!!
I look forward to visiting your blog in the future.
    Hugs to you!!
